Access Getty Images Directly from within WoodWing Enterprise

WoodWing and Getty Images have worked together to develop a seamless integration of Getty Images’ digital content library and WoodWing´s editorial management application Content Station as part of WoodWing´s multi-channel publishing system Enterprise. With this integration, users of WoodWing Enterprise now have direct access to select, download and procure images from Getty Images’ significant content library.

Thanks to a new collaboration, Getty Images’ extensive content library is now directly available in Content Station, the editorial management application of WoodWing´s multi-channel publishing system Enterprise. Users can easily search, select and download images and store them in dossiers in Content Station for use in their layouts – all without leaving their familiar publishing and creative workflow environment.

The seamless integration leverages the plug-in technology of Enterprise Server, enabling WoodWing and its solution partners and technology partners to connect Enterprise to any external system.

Using Getty Images’ API, users can perform a traditional Getty Images search, downloading images in layout resolution, before dragging and dropping them into a dossier in Content Station. When the user decides to use an image, a high-res version of the image can be easily purchased and downloaded from Getty Images’ website to replace the low-resolution image.

New Picturepark Demo Features Ports, Asset Classes

Modula4 Partner Picturepark has released an all-new live demo that features the company’s new Ports and Asset Classes technologies. While browsing asset metadata, users will see that the available fields differ depending on the class of content. Also visible is HTML-formatted metadata that includes live external links. Demo accounts are created by the company’s third-party marketing software, which shows how Picturepark’s service-oriented architecture (SOA) can make integrations possible without coding.

The new port-based Picturepark demo is now live. Some of the benefits of the new environment include:

  • Easier to use and understand
  • Faster performance worldwide
  • Extensive use of Asset Classes (see the metadata for “webinar” and “advertising” assets for examples)
  • Examples of HTML-enhanced metadata for live links, bold text, etc. (check the DAM Survival Guide record for an example)
  • Search results that are more in line with expectations

Save on Software Maintenance with Multiyear Discounts

Software maintenance insures that your system is always working properly and is “future-proof” against changing environments like updates to browsers, desktop and server operating systems and Java versions. It offers piece of mind and makes the total cost of ownership consistent and predictable. Even better, you can enjoy substantial savings by renewing for multiple years. The amount of savings depends on the length of the agreement. Multiyear agreements range from 2 -5 year with discounts of up 33% off the annual renewal rate.

Compare DAMs with Picturepark “Shortlists” Tip

Modula4 partner Picturepark has published a Google Shortlists tip that can make DAM software comparisons easier to manage and collaborative too. Keep track what you like and don’t like about each system, add notes about the good and bad, and enable others on your team to provide input too.

It’s free and easy to get started: Do your initial round of “DAM shopping” and add each solution that interests you to your shortlist and a basic description of each system. Invite your team to participate in the shortlist. Once they have accepted the invitation, they’ll know about scheduled demos, and they’ll be able to provide their own comments too.
